What do OECMs look like?
OECMs come in all shapes and sizes. They exist on many landscapes and are managed by many different partners or partnerships. They also exist for many different purposes – recreation, water management, sustainable grazing, etc…
As the concept of OECMs is still relatively new, we’re seeing novel examples all the time! Below are just a few examples of OECMs on different landscapes across Canada.
Canadian OECM Examples
There are already hundreds of OECMs across Canada and we are still learning together how varied OECMs are. Despite their differences, they all have one thing in common: they all conserve biodiversity!
